Everything at a Glance — Custom Dashboards in Pickle

One of the most valuable philosophies of Pickle is to have everything in one place. All of your files, clients, contacts, deals and more in one place. Now, you'll be able to see your business or project at a glance. Things like pen tickets, new leads, revenue, new projects, invoices received, open houses this weekend, and so much more. With custom dashboard panels in Pickle, you can show data form any source, share it with your team, and keep it all ine one place.

Even if you don't manage this data, sharing it with others in your team is a great way to keep everyone in the loop.

Here's a screenshot of a wedding's dashboard:

And one for a realtor:

And here's one a freelancer submitted:

If you run have a support team you might be interested in knowing about open tickets, customer satisfcation, yelp reviews, and replies on twitter. If you have an ecommerce store, you might want to share revneue numbers, new orders, cancelled orders, pre-orders, etc.

Even if you don't want to give your team complete access to your other tools, or you can't because it's too complicated, you can pull in any data with an API and share it with them through Pickle!

These custom dashboard panels can show any data you'd like from soures all over the web and are updated in real time. Everyone has a different use case, and that's why we designed the custom dashboard panels to be incredibly flexible and very powerful. You can pull in data from any source that has an api with code in any language. We'll be sharing a ton of examples in the near future on our github page, too.

Many of Pickle's more technical clients are using various APIs and tools like Runkit to help power their dashboards. In a follow up post, I'll show you how you can use Runkit to power a custom dashboard panel in Pickle.
